Manage Account
Connect to Scatter, then open Manage Account ↗ to edit your account. Make your changes and select Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
These settings belong to your user account. For a collection's images and branding, use Collection Profile & Branding. To understand your public profile and its tabs, see User Profiles.
Identity
| Field | What you can set |
|---|---|
| Username | An optional public handle, 3–24 characters long, using lowercase letters, numbers, and underscores. Without a username, your handle defaults to your shortened primary wallet address. You can change your username later. |
| Bio | Up to 340 characters of plain text for your public profile. |
| Avatar | A public profile picture for your Scatter account. |
| Banner | An image to decorate your profile page. |
For Avatar and Banner, drag and drop an image into the upload area or click it to choose a file. Each accepts JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, or WEBP files under 10 MB.
Shill Code and Payout Wallet
Shill Code
Set the code used in your referral links. The field accepts 3–24 characters
using letters, numbers, and underscores. The settings page displays your
site-wide link; for example, the code john produces
https://www.scatter.art/?shill=john.
Your shill code works across Scatter. See Shills for eligible rewards, site-wide attribution, and the 30-day referral period.
Payout Wallet
Choose the linked wallet that receives your affiliate rewards. The selector accepts linked externally owned account (EOA) wallets only.
Changing this selection redirects future rewards only. Earlier unclaimed minting shill rewards remain claimable through the previous payout wallet; connect that wallet to withdraw them. Marketplace shill rewards are sent directly at purchase time, so earlier marketplace payments are already in the wallet that received them. Changing your payout wallet does not move earlier rewards to the new wallet.
To review and claim available minting shill rewards, see Claiming Payouts. For collection mint withdrawals, see Payouts.
Linked Wallets
Use Link Wallet to begin linking another wallet to your account. Linked wallets let you track your NFTs, collections, and Charms together. Any wallet linked to your Scatter account can be used to sign in to that same account and make edits on Scatter, but only the primary wallet can unlink other wallets.
Account access and wallet permissions are separate. Wallet-specific actions still require the relevant wallet: for example, listing an NFT requires the wallet that owns it, and claiming a wallet's payouts requires that wallet. Linking wallets does not transfer their assets or let one wallet sign for another.
Wallet cards show their roles with badges such as Primary, Connected, and Shill Payout. Check which wallet is selected for affiliate payouts before changing that setting.
Primary Wallet and Unlinking
You must designate a primary wallet for your Scatter account. Only that wallet can unlink other wallets; a secondary linked wallet cannot remove your primary wallet or the other linked wallets.
If a secondary wallet is compromised, use your primary wallet to unlink it from the account and remove its linked-account access. Disconnecting a wallet or logging out is different from unlinking it.
Protect your primary wallet carefully. Someone who gains control of it can take over your Scatter account and unlink your other wallets. Signing in with another linked wallet does not protect the account from a compromised primary wallet. See Account Security.
Switching Wallets and Logging Out
Open the account dropdown in the top right of Scatter to view your associated wallets. The menu also provides shortcuts to your profile, NFTs, collections, shills, payouts, and Manage Account, plus Link Wallets to associate another wallet.
The two disconnect options have different purposes:
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Disconnect Wallet | Disconnects the active wallet while keeping you signed in to your Scatter account, so you can connect a different wallet. |
| Log Out | Disconnects your active wallet and signs you out of Scatter completely. |
Use Disconnect Wallet when switching the wallet you want to use with your account. You can sign back in to the same account using any of its linked wallets after logging out. Before a wallet-specific action, check that the connected wallet is the one that holds the NFT, funds, or permissions needed.
Connections
Under Connections, select Connect X to connect your X account. A connected X account will show up on your profile and let us know who to tag on X when shouting out your success.
Content Preferences
Show NSFW Collections controls whether you see collections marked as sexually explicit or otherwise age-restricted. Enabling it confirms that you are at least 18 years old.
You must be signed in with this preference enabled to view NSFW collections. Collection creators classify their content separately through NSFW Collection in their collection editor.
Select Save Changes after updating your preferences.
